The
Rotary Club of North Launceston is located in the historic
city of Launceston (population approx 100,100) which is
located on the Tamar River where the North and South Esk
Rivers converge. It is Tasmania's second largest population
centre, and is an attractive city due to its many parks
and gardens. Launceston is Australia's third oldest city
from where John Batman planned the city of Melbourne from
his residence in Launceston.
The
Club meets every Tuesday for fellowship at 6:00pm followed by Dinner at
6:30pm at Archers' Manor which is at 17 Alanvale Road, Newnham, Tasmania.
